Manifesto
Not dead.Just resting.
hi, I'm Tal.I've watched "product is dead" trend roughly every eighteen months for a decade. This time the headline comes with a demo, so it feels true. This site is my long-form argument that it isn't. It's built from the cynical take and back.
- rip, PRDsPoint 1
The artifacts are dead.
PRDs, roadmaps, status updates, user-story templates. AI makes them in seconds, so they are worth roughly nothing. Good riddance. They were always a stand-in for thinking, never the thinking itself.
- still breathingPoint 2
The job is not.
Deciding what matters, for whom, and why now. Saying no to a hundred good ideas. Being accountable when the bet doesn't pay off. No model will take the blame for you, so no model will take the job.
- aim firstPoint 3
Speed made judgment more valuable, not less.
When building costs almost nothing, the bottleneck moves to knowing what to build. Teams that ship ten times faster in the wrong direction just arrive at the wrong place sooner.
- your edgePoint 4
Taste is your advantage.
Everyone has the same models. What they don't have is your customer context, your scar tissue, and your opinion about what "good" looks like. Encode it, and agents amplify it. Skip it, and they amplify mediocrity.
- the dealPoint 5
So: automate the busywork, keep the opinions.
That's what the skills hub is for. Each skill is a small piece of product judgment, written down so an agent can apply it. You stay the editor-in-chief.
